What is Fairejour?

Literally translated from French, Fairejour is a compound, made-up word that means “to make” and “day.” When you shop at Fairejour and discover something unique and special, we hope it makes your day.

Where does Fairejour find their products?

We travel by car, plane, and most of the time, public transit, to visit lesser known streets in cities all over the world, where extraordinary people have shops, design studios, and showrooms. The designers and labels we feature are thoughtful people who design and produce with integrity and consciousness. We are constantly asking ourselves the question “is this thoughtful?” If the answer is no, you won’t find the product on our website.

1. How does Fairejour ship products?

Products that we carry on-hand, we will deliver as quick as humanly possible. Some of our items are made to order and delivered straight from the hands of the designer – these take a bit longer, so be sure to read the shipping information for each product you decide to purchase.

The shipping information will be at the bottom of each product description and looks something like this:

Shipping: Ships within 5 days of order date from the designer.

2. Where does Fairejour ship?

We can ship to any address in the United States (including Alaska and Hawaii) and Canada. We can ship to most other countries as well, but if you live in a somewhat obscure place, please make sure by sending us an email at: contact@fairejour.com. We will ship your order via UPS, FedEx, or USPS.

Please keep in mind that duties and customs fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

3. What are Fairejour’s shipping rates?

Shipping is FREE within the United States for all regular merchandise; heavier items will have calculated shipping upon checkout.

Shipping to Canada is also FREE, and $15 to other countries. Again, heavier items will have calculated shipping upon checkout.

Return Policy

1. Not all products are eligible for returns.

Many of our products are one-of-a-kind or made to order. These items are not eligible for return. Also, Final Sale products are as marked and not eligible for returns.

2. Items that are not eligible for returns are clearly marked as “Final Sale” on the Product page for that Product.

3. If your item is returnable

Please contact us within 7 days of receiving your item at contact@fairejour.com. Return fees are the responsibility of the customer, unless otherwise stated (please see items 8. and 9. in this section). Returns initiated after the 7 day return policy will not be accepted. Exchanges can be made but are on a case-by-case basis. Please contact us at contact@fairejour.com.

4. The Fairejour team must receive and approve your return request first.

Send us a note at contact@fairejour.com. Once your request is received and approved, we will provide the address for you to send your return.

Note: We will provide special return instructions for items that were damaged in shipping or mis-shipped items (see no. 9). Please email us at contact@fairejour.com. Indicate “damaged or mis-shipped” in the subject line.

5. We are unable to accept returns of goods that are not in their original packaging unless otherwise noted.

6. Refunds

Returns will be processed after the goods have been received. There is a $10 restocking fee per item returned. If you wish to obtain store credit for your return instead, the $10 restocking fee will be waived. Please contact us at contact@fairejour.com for instructions on refunds and exchanges.

7. Return Processing Times

We aim to process all returns within one (1) week.  Should you have any questions about the status of your return or how to return an item, please email us at contact@fairejour.com.

8. Damaged Goods

In the unlikely event that your order arrives damaged, you need to email us with a photo image of the damage, if possible, before we begin the return process. You must email us at contact@fairejour.com if any items were damaged in your shipment within 48 hours of receiving your order.

9. Defective or Errors

If you believe you received an item in error or a defective item, please email us at contact@fairejour.com so that we can assist you.
